If you require a specific chef for his/her knowledge of the food of one region or country, Midas can help. Our private chefs will plan and prepare food for parties and other events as well as taking care of day-to-day dining requirements of your family or just preparing dinner.

Generally, a chef will work 8-12 hours per day, sometimes with other chefs on a rota.

All good chefs will have extensive knowledge of a range of menus with the ability to prepare special meals for the client. They will be responsible for all the meal preparation and ordering of the groceries to keep the pantry stocked.

Pay

​

• Dependent on experience, private chefs’ salaries are:

• Live-in from £20,000 – £50,000 per year gross

• Live out from £30,000 – £70,000 per year gross

• A private chef hourly rate is between £30-£70 per hour gross

Duties:

​

• Prepare and cook meals for the clients and guests

• Clean and sanitise the client’s kitchen after use

• Could include responsibility for kitchen budgets and accounts

• Work closely with their employers to cater for a specific personal preference

• Food shopping; menu-planning; liaising closely with the housekeeper
